Posted by xta at February 26, 2004 11:52 AM | TrackBackAn early Happy Birhday hug this Saturday to that sweetest of stars, Betty Hutton who will be 84.
With the passing of Sandra Dee, I cherish Betty.
She's the best.
Betty Hutton has always been my favorite star. Now my children and grandchildren feel the same way.I am 71 years old and I would just like her to know how much I appreciate her. God Bless You Betty. Sincerely Nancy Ritter
I've just watched 'Annie Get Your Gun' for the 51st time!
That Betty Hutton was one of the world's most beautiful women is undeniable. What is truely remarkable though is that whereas most of the beautiful women of that period look rather dated by today's standards; Betty Hutton would still rank amongst the most beautiful women on earth.
To watch Betty in action is like throwing a grenade into a vat of champagne. Fabulous voice, great dancer and wonderful comedienne. Without doubt the finest all-round entertainer ever!
I've just been given a long-awaited address that, I am assured, will get your fan mail direct to Betty Hutton.
I think it would be really nice if we all could let Betty know just how much we still love her.
Her address is:

I just finished watching your interview on TCM tonite, what a great human being you are! We spend a lot of time in Palm Springs, it would be so wonderful to run into you! I wish I could hold your hand for a moment and tell you that all is OK, and you are GREAT! I am 68, and feel just as insecure as you do sometimes! But most of the time I am strong, and I know that you are too!
Love always,
Mirjana Sebok
Dear Betty,
You are a wonderful lady. I am so happy that you met Christ and discovered how much you are LOVED! Many people say they love you and we sure did love those wonderful pictures and songs and laughs you gave us, but Jesus LOVES YOU and I thank HIM for the gift of YOU TO THE USA!
Thank you for your honest, loving interview (((HUGS)) from Wisconsin

Hi Betty,
Saw you on the Turner Movie Channel being interviewed. Believe I've seen all of your movies and enjoyed them all. However, I was even more impressed and pleased to watch you years ago on PBS and also on T.V. tonight. I know you have been through a lot; but your enthusiasm and lust for life is as strong now as it was back in the 1940's. Your voice is uniquely recognizable; and you are still a truly big star who could entertain us brilliantly if you wanted to. Why not do a couple videos for us. I know you can do it; and your public will greatly appreciate seeing you perform again.
Posted by: Del Kay at October 18, 2006 03:59 AMDear Miss Betty Hutton Bravo Love your Movies Love your Spirit Love your Soul blessings from heaven both now and later. God Bless thanks for the joy and the laughter Praying you and your family our together and healed in Christ.
Posted by: Julie Girard at October 18, 2006 04:19 AMHello Ms. Hutton. I just saw the last 1/2 hour of "The Stork Club" tonight, and I wish I had seen the entire movie. In fact, it's the first of your movies I have seen. (TCM is such a treat to have out there for 35 year-young silver screen film buffs such as me) I watched "Private Screening" with Robert Osborne afterwards and was so moved by your down-to-earth and warm demeanour, your integriy and openness, your humility and humour, your love for the people in your life, and your non-materialistic attitude. Never have I felt so compelled to write to an actor or actress. I saw a message board on IMDB in which people were trying to find an address for you. I suggested writing c/o Robert Osborne as he was the one you trusted enough to permit an interview. I conclude by saying that I will be eagerly awaiting the next screenings of your movies on TCM. God bless you Ms. Hutton. Hope all is well.

Posted by: pinky at October 18, 2006 04:30 PMAbsoultely ditto on all the above. I am thinking that I am the only Betty Hutton fan left in the world and what do you know.....all of this!!! God Bless Betty for all that she has given us and to all of you who hold her memory dear as I do.
I have been a fan of Betty Hutton for years. Growing up in England I saw a lot of her films. ON the raido over there they played her songs a lot on Family favourites. One was the Sewing Machine that was constantly being requested.
When I was about 13 or 14 my friend and I went into town and saw her in "The Stork Club: We are both now going on 73 and still talk about it. Well he is in the UK still but when I go back home we talk about it. I managed to get a copy of the film but cannot show it to him as they are on a different system.I tolod him he is going to have to come out here for a visit:).
It is so nice to know that Betty is still around. She made some smashing films. I was ever so pleased when they re-issued "Annie Get your Gun" I had been hoping it would and got my name in straight away for a copy .I never in a thousand years thought I would ever be able to watch it in the comfort of my own home
Posted by: Betty at October 29, 2006 03:17 AMI Seen Her One Time and She was Truely a Special Lady. I Think I Will Spend My Next Few Years Tracking Her Down In Palm Springs. I'd of Done It Earlier, But I Could Not of Known Where She Lived. Bless Her and Her Voice May She Live In Christ.
