 we'll miss you, frosty...

one of my co-workers died today.

he left work early monday afternoon, not feeling well. he entered the hospital yesterday, and died early this morning. 72 hours.

it's strange being here at work today. there are many, many, many tears, of course, even though it feels strange to be crying around people you work with. a couple of the people here aren't crying, though... they are the ones tasked with resolving the issues surrounding his absence (scheduling and whatnot), and i don't know if/when/how they'll find the time to grieve.

me, i'm trying to say meaningful things about him on the air without falling to pieces.

Very sorry to hear about Frosty. From the comments on the station website, it sounds like he was loved and respected by all. And gave great hugs.

Very sorry to hear the sad news. I was listening to CPE at work today and heard you talking about it on the air, read your post and heard about it from a co-worker who's in Raleigh Ringers all within 5 minutes probably. So sudden... so horrible...

It's shocking to lose someone, especially so unexpectedly like that. I'm so sorry.

thank you so much, you guys.

it's been cathartic building that webpage for him... all of these loving comments pouring in from everywhere. i found a really wonderful photo of frosty, too, which was taken on his "trip of a lifetime" cruise to alaska in june... i posted it towards the bottom of that page, just above his obituary.

we're all still a little stunned here...
