as of yesterday, i have lost a total of 50 pounds.
today i walk into the office and my boss lays another passive-aggressive comment on me: "did you know that lucille ball had it written into vivian vance's contract that she was obligated to remain 20 pounds overweight...?"
and she trails off... making it sound like if i don't stop losing weight she's going to fire me.
it's all a joke, of course, but STILL! sheesh!

b) this starts to delve into the reasons why i quit losing weight before i was really finished. it garners attention, both wanted and unwanted, positive and negative. i found that difficult to handle. i hope that you fare better, and reach your ultimate goal if you have not yet done so.
unfortunately, success at weight loss can provoke other people's body image issues to come to the fore. i also recall some really unfortunate comments that a mutual friend of ours endured while she was losing weight. i guess it comes with the territory.

And they do that passive-agressive compliment thing. Last year, when I was 25lbs thinner, a friend of mine would go on and on about men looking at my boobs, in front of my workmates which mortified me. And wasn't true anyway - I think her whole goal was to make me self conscious and uncomfortable with my weightloss.
