 it's all she ever does

thanks so much, you guys, for your fashion advice! you rock.

my mom is here, so i'll be otherwise occupied for a week. in the meantime, you can peruse photos of other recent shoe purchases. (two of these three came from that discount store online that i mentioed last week.)

these are a pair of hush puppies i've been ogling for a while. utterly comfy, kinda casual, sorta sexy. love 'em!

aerosoles! i can hardly ever find stylish aerosoles in wide widths, so this was particularly exciting.

some interesting espedrilles that i'm fond of. i can't quite figure out the best way to tie them, though.

hiya!! got here from Blackbird :) just wanted to say i'm totally with you on the espadrille tying...it seemed so simple until i actually OWNED a pair. and i bought a pair at Ann Taylor marked down to $35 from $60, and it's a good thing they were on sale, because OW. it's like, if you don't tie them tight enough, you get blisters on your heel, and if you tie them too tight you get blisters on the top of the front of your ankle. needless to say i've only worn them once. do you have this problem?? *SO confused* and i'm glad someone is with me in the wide width trauma. i had wedding shoe issues because of it, too.

Tell your mom I said HI and that I am out of
MUNIMULA and must purchase some at the store.

I think of her every time I must do so. Clerks are confused everytime I forget and ask for it by it's backwards name....

WRT those espadrilles: Wooh! I don't think it matters how ya tie 'um, honey! Untying them is probably the important part! ;)

I bought an inexpensive pair of espadrilles like those - twenty bucks at old navy and they are shiny SILVER with lovely silver ribbons. I doubt I will ever wear them. I'm afraid I might break an ankle.

laura-
i got that great $35 deal on ann taylor wedges, too! and yeah, if you don't get the ankle strap tight enough it's not pretty. (too tight, though, and my ankle looks like a sausage link.)

joy-
aerosoles are the COMFIEST. very cushy. seek them out.

gidge-
she cackled when i said munimula

joe-
you naughty boy.

and pinky-
you just made me a little wet with the description of those shoes!!

I will never buy Aerosoles, for the record. I interviewed to be the director of their call center. They flew me out FIRST CLASS for the interviews, and then the feedback they gave to my headhunter was that they wanted someone not so fat. They didn't feel like I would fit into their corporate culture.
He originally told me only the second part, it was only when I really PRESSED him hard about WHAT about me didn't fit their corporate culture since I had all the qualls.....he said, "well are you a large size person"?

Fuckers.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE THEM.

Don't get me started.

i like all those shoes.

I bought a pair of espadrilles just like that, but beige with sparkly stuff, and then took them back - because even though they made my ankles look FAB, I wasn't sure I could pull off the sparkly stuff.
