i'm alive, i'm well.
i'm working, i'm enjoying my new shift.
i'm spending less time online, and more time in the pool.
i'm checking books out of the library, and i'm watching 'arrested development'.
i'm enjoying a lot of dance performances.
i'm looking forward to a visit from my brother's family.
i'm thinking about plants. contemplating gardening possibilities.
i'm trying to figure out how to sew a skirt.
this space right here... this display... blogging... is not capitivating me right now.
there's a good chance i'll be back.
probably.
when things feel more settled.
later.
But Christa! You have an obligation to the bra searchers of America--nay, the world! Who will help us find our bras while you're off swimming and reading and sewing and working and being an aunt?
I'm just kidding. Live your life, sister! Blog when the inspiration hits. We'll still be here.
Posted by: minty at July 3, 2006 07:29 AMhell, the ignorant bra searchers of the world can continue to populate the comments with their plaintive, unanswered requests, indefinitely, ad infinitum.
It's still weird to me that people do that. this isn't the first time I've seen this happen - people posting requests to the entirely wrong place.
enjoy your summer!
Posted by: pinky at July 3, 2006 10:21 AMWhat's got you vexed on the skirt-sewing front? Anything I can help with?
Posted by: Lisa B at July 3, 2006 01:39 PMi've never sewed anything but curtains before.
the whole pattern-cutting-out thing is mystifying!!
it's like a confusing new language...
Measure twice - cut once! The main thing is to line up those arrows on the pattern with the grain of the fabric, and to use sharp scissors (vaguely remembered from my dressmaking days).
Posted by: Marianne at July 3, 2006 02:03 PMI hope you do come back... I just became an aunt for the first time (4 days ago- Hello, Mollie Margaret!) and I'm hoping for how-to-be-the-best-aunt-ever tips.
Posted by: Sharon at July 3, 2006 11:12 PMWhat? You're having a personal private life?
Shocking.
Seriously, enjoy the time unplugged.
Posted by: Gidge at July 4, 2006 09:16 AMSeinfeld today had the man-bra episode. I think it's a sign. To chill out or do whatever you want :-)
