 so far so good

no headaches for two days! woo! i even threw caution to the wind last night and had a glass of wine... no adverse reaction!

now i just have to cross my fingers that my brain will cooperate during my colorado vacation. i leave thanksgiving day to visit my beloved brother, his groovin' wife and this adorable little girl. i'll return tuesday.

ray isn't coming with me, which i have to admit makes me a little nervous. i've said over and over again that he's my rock in weird medical situations. i don't know how he manages to stay so focused in the face of crisis. (had it been him experiencing the TIA that night, i know i would have been visibly freaking out... but not him. he was calm, cool, and collected. tall, dark & handsome, too.)

anyway, i'm sure everything will be fine. i'm sure it will.

have a happy holiday!

Ah, you might surprise yourself in a medical crisis--it's like the adrenaline kicks in an override switch, and you can do things you'd normally never attempt. I'm a complete wreck about the little things--a mouse in the house, getting a dental filling; but the big stuff, like a kid having a bad seizure, I'm pretty solid about. Good to know that reserve is in there, somewhere...

Congrats on two headache-free days--may they continue! Have a good trip.

I'd bet big money that your brother and his wife would be wonderfully supportive if you needed them in a health emergency -
which you aren't going to have anyway...
so there.

Speaking of tall, dark, and handsome -- yesterday I noticed that from a particular angle, Ray had a strong resemblance to George Clooney. And... he'd heard that before!

Rock on. (And apparently he's also heard Mel Gibson and a host of other generally popular stars.)

After seeing the new James Bond flick, I can only dream that I have a strong resemblance to Daniel Craig. But ah well, whatever :-)

We got rocks up the wazoo out here in Colorado, Sis. You're in good hands.

But you're not going to need it....
